There are currently two open positions on the Board of Directors due to members resigning since our last annual meeting.
Per the HOA Bylaws:
In the event of death, resignation or removal of a director, his successor shall be selected by the remaining members of the Board and shall serve for the unexpired term of his predecessor.
The two vacant seats on the Board have terms ending next April. So your commitment is small. If you like serving, then you can run for reelection in the spring. If not, that’s OK too.
If you are interested in joining the Board, please leave a comment with some information on why you’d like to serve. You can also come to the next Board meeting on November 11th.

My name is Barbara Lazard Hernandez and I am interested in filling one of the vacancies on the Board. Over the past year or two, events have occurred in the neighborhood that concern our family and neighbors. I believe that I can share my insight both as a homeowner and as an attorney to assist in improving and enhancing our community. We have been homeowners in Harris Ridge since 2000 and have expanded our family to include our two beautiful children (2 yrs and 6 mths). Our children are the reason for my commitment to improving our community in whatever ways (big or small) that I can.

Sorry, V. Santos. I just saw your comment. A couple of my main concerns: (1) safety: the speed issues relating to the use of Harris Ridge and Harrisglenn as cut throughs and (2) the park and its use or misuse now as a public park and not as a HOA owned facility. I’m also interested in working toward joining and helping to make the neighborhood feel more like a community.

Barbara, you have my vote. How about getting rid of these portable basketball goal I see on the street. It just looks UGLY. I seen some that’s not even used.

Congratulations to Barbara and Tracy Wernli who were appointed to the Board at the Nov 11th meeting. We now have a full Board of Directors.

Thanks for your interest. We’ve filled all the vacancies on the board. There will be several slots open for election at the next annual meeting in the spring (April). Please plan on attending and you can get nominated for the Board.
