Thanks again to all on the board members who allotted HROA funds toward the upgrade of the playground area. I’ve lived in this neighboorhood 13 years and it has really needed a facelift! Glad to see it’s finally been transformed into a play area for kids of all ages to enjoy. We look forward to using the playground soon.

Looks great!
Saw kids both young and old getting a chance to use the new equipment Sunday. Thank you to all that took part in getting this done!

I agree the playground looks great, but this was done at a cost of 50,000 dollars and we could have done it at much less cost and the playground would have been just as nice as the one we have now.

This is just more sour grapes. Where was your plan, your esitmates?? Nowhere! The structures were carefully picked out with quality and durability taken into consideration. You are barking up the wrong tree.

WHAT? $50,000 for that! Geez, I guess if you have 5 kids that uses it all the time, then it’s money well spent. What about the rest of us that don’t venture there…
PLEASE don’t spend another $50K on the basketball court.

Maybe that’s part of the problem. If you would go down to the playground on a nice day, you will see that was worth the money. Would you prefer the old playground? Quality amenities uplift neighborhoods that benefit everyone in the HOA. All of the parents at the playground that I have met there were overjoyed to see the improvements. So yes, it was money well spent.

I dropped by and took a look. $50,000 for 3 swing sets seemed a little pricey.

I’m curious as to where all the pea gravel went? Concrete pavers were given away, but a lot of us would have had some interest in that pea gravel.
And, the playground looks nice. I don’t have children, but a lot of the neighborhood needs updating. We gave ideas at the last HOA meeting. Was there ever some sort of vote as to what would be improved first? I understand that this probably would have been done first, but did I miss the neighborhood vote?
I do like the new mailbox area. I’m very pleased with that. And finally my key works!!! It always looked like I was trying to break into my own mailbox.

The wood fiber playground mulch was put over the pea gravel. A tarp layer separates the two layers. This was recommended by the playground vendor in order to save on labor and materials.
You should consider joining the Board. There are 2 vacant positions.
