I have some news to share with the neighborhood regarding Vina Plaza, but I don’t want the Vina Plaza group to see it. At the annual meeting, it was suggested that we hire someone to oversee the website and have a password entry. Please let me know the status.
THANKS!
fyi: This is the response I received from a Board member who was not in attendance at the annual meeting.
Dolores,
We’re not going to pay a web master to maintain the website it’s too expensive. If you want you can email me your comments and Ill forward to Sylvia Harris and other board members. Sylvia has a pretty extensive email list of people in the neighborhood.
Well, at least Dolores received a response to her last email to a board member. I was not so privileged.
Has any board member priced it? I know someone who manages websites who said it could run as low as $30 per month. I think we can afford $30 per month. I will personally bring his proposal to the next board meeting.
The next board meeting is June 8th at Rollie’s house – 13112 Bennington Lane. If not, the July board meeting is July 13th at the same location.
All of the meetings start at 7pm.
Please post the minutes to the board meeting on the website so interested homeowners can know whats going on in the neighborhood . The minutes could also be emailed to any homeowner that wants them. All members have a right to know this information
this website needs to be a forum where neighbors can discuss items of importance that affect them. we spent 50’000 dollars on a playground and 20,ooo on the mailboxes and over 10,oo at the pool surely we can afford a better website for a few hundred dollars-not do do this makes no sense whatsoever
http://www.spotcrime.com is a website where you can get web alerts for crime in this area-it’s free and you can be on the alert if there is a rash of burglaries in the area-knowledge is power
Toni Diaz has been and is working on re-vamping the website. In the meantime, if you would like a copy of the board approved minutes, e-mail me at tcwernli@sbcglobal.net and I will forward you the minutes.
Any help and/or comments should be directed to Toni.
It seems some important info is being excluded from the board meeting minutes-the address of homes being foreclosed and intent to foreclose. this should not be secret info-prospective buyers need time to research property at the courthouse to make an informed decision as to buy based on the value of the home and if any liens are present. members are entitled to full and complete minutes not just what the board wants them to know. there is no privacy issue. when Travis county forecloses on a home for unpaid taxes it is published in the newspaper. many states also publish deadbeat dads names that owe money to spouse to shame them in paying. maybe the board should publish names or addresses of people who aren’t paying their dues to give them more incentive to pay. foreclosures should not be done in secret!!
