Agenda Items Addressed:
- Current board member, Julie Averill, submitted her resignation and the board has begun the process of locating a replacement board member
- A letter for the engagement of a financial audit was voted upon, approved and signed
- Discrepancies in fine and collection procedures was addressed. The result was a board determination to place a temporary moratorium on collection and demand letters to allow the board to address current rules and fine procedures.
- The board voted to study current neighborhood maintenance trends and to identify household who may need assistance and also to identify those neighborhood members who may be able to provide assistance.
- Positive incentives for proper home/lawn maintenance and care were discussed such as Yard-of-the-Month and Website recognition.
- The Board approved a “Keep Austin Beautiful” neighborhood cleanup for May 17th. The cleanup was executed as planned and many bags of trash were collected and a $25 Home Depot gift certificate was won by one of the home-owner volunteers.
- Contract reviews were placed on hold due to time constraints
- The placing of an area for General neighborhood feedback on the website was voted upon and approved
